Phase 2 Explainer
Phase 2 consists of users adding their camera feeds to the Elumicate network on testnet to allow future data mining from these feeds.
Testnet is where we ensure everything is fully operational before deploying the project on mainnet.
During the BETA and Phase 1 stages, the mining software was deployed with capabilities and functionalities tested while operating on windows 10 computers positioned all around the planet. Stability, object detection, load testing, and overall system capabilities were but some of the testing that was done in these phases.
Testing areas included but were not limited to:
- Mining Software stability
- Automatic Epoch calculations from data uploads
- Reward accumulation and claiming
- ELUM token transactions
- Token Staking and subsequent reward multipliers
- NFT functionalities
This helped the team identify key issues that were promptly dealt with and resolved, which brings us to:
Phase 2 allows for personal cameras from around the world to be added to the Elumicate network. These cameras are critical to the network's success and we will be working on allowing different onboarding methods for both existing and newly purchased devices.
All ELUM tokens earned during testnet will be air dropped (transferred) to mainnet at a later date (only earned tokens will be air dropped. Tokens purchased with testnet IoTX tokens will not qualify).
Token rewards can be found in the portal's Dashboard page at https://miner.elumicate.com
Claiming tokens, moving them out of your wallet, or performing any other transactions will not affect your token reward eligibility on Mainnet.
We encourage you to transfer tokens between wallets, perform staking operations, and claim your tokens while on testnet. This will help ensure everything is fully operational before Mainnet launch. This will not affect your earned tokens which will be transferred to mainnet.
